Living My New Life, In My Old Home

Did you know we bought my childhood home? Yupp, we sure did. Moving from our town home back to my original home base. The cherished memories you have growing up all around you. Then the excitement of a whole new life of memories that is about to occur with my own family. We have made it our own. Gutting almost the whole place and starting fresh where it needed it most. The design stages and the decor stages are my favorite part. Getting rid of 30 years of stuff and the organizing, then re-organizing is the part I dreaded most. Its a mix bags of emotions that's for sure. A journey within itself with a 6 month old in tow. We have been settled here for just over a year now, and I look at this house with complete pride and accomplishment. All the progress we have made within this year. One room at a time we make this home ours. It has been a long hard process that has taught us so much. Such as how to successfully go through a home renovation without pulling each others hair out lol. Not rush any room and take your time with your vision - it will come together :) Rome was not built in a day, and neither will this house. Enjoy the process. The past few weeks I have been working on our dressing room. Painting the room white, adding new curtain rods (bought last year at the Target liquidation for $4.00 each) and curtains (From Jysk Canada), a vanity table found on a Facebook buy and sell group for $75.00, an antique from my mother, and thrift store finds galore totalling $15.00. Making this room make over on a dime praise worthy!! If you follow me on social media, you see my day to day life, how I obtain these items, and how it all gets pulled together. Follow me as I make over this house, one room at a time while having fun doing it.
