Potato Bacon Pucks: Aka Potato Bacon Sliders


Whats more Canadian then hockey? Even more so, whats more Canadian then Potato smothered in cheese and bacon? What is this some kind of Poutinery? This recipe is fantastic filler as an appetizer or even more so if you want to have some fun with your family and play around with food.

Potato Sliders

Prep Time: 10 Minutes

Cook Time: 35 Minutes

Total Time: 45 Minutes

Serves: 4-6

Ingredients: - Potatoes (yellow, 4-5 medium)

- Bacon (3-4 slices, chopped)

- Salt and Pepper (to taste) - Italian Seasoning (1 pinch)

- Cheese (marble, 1/2 cup, shredded)

Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a medium frying pan, fry bacon until fully cooked. Roughly chop and set aside. Save bacon grease.

2. Wash potatoes. Cut potatoes into 1/2" puck rounds. Place on a large baking sheet. Using the left over bacon grease, brush each side of each potato pucks. Then sprinkle salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning on each side as well. Bake for 30 minutes, flipping around the 20 minutes mark. 3. Lately, top each potato puck with cheese and bacon and bake again for another 5 minutes or until the cheese is bubbling.
