Garlic Parmesan Scalloped Potatoes

As promised here is that creamy, cheesy, garlic-y, scalloped potato recipe you saw in my stories. This one is totally budget friendly, filling, yet oh so delicious. Comfort food at its best.

Scalloped Potato Recipe

Ingredients: - Potatoes (5 medium) - Butter (1/3 cup) - Flour (4 Tbsp)

- Garlic (5 cloves, minced) - Salt (1/2 Tbsp) - Pepper (1 tsp)

- Italian Seasoning (1 Tbsp) - Cream (1/2 cup) - Milk (1 cup)

- Cheese (marble, 1 cup) - Parmesan Cheese (1/2 cup)

Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Wash and thinly slice potatoes into 1/8" slices (either by hand or mandolin). Grease or butter a large casserole dish. 2. In a medium sized pot. Create the roux by melting butter on medium low heat. Add garlic and then flour. Mix for a couple minutes. Add the Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Then slowly add the cream and milk (about 1/2 cup at a time). Once all combined simmer while you build your casserole. 3. Line the casserole dish with half the potatoes. Half way through, add 1/2 cup cheese, and 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese. Add the remaining potatoes. Top with the roux mixture, remaining cheese, and the remaining Parmesan cheese. Add more salt and pepper if desired. Bake for 45 minutes at 425 degrees. Once done, top with parley to garnish.
