How To Cook A Turkey with Bacon


Turkey!! A staple at our Thanksgiving and Christmas. Let me show you how anyone can cook an easy turkey so moist that your whole family will think your a pro. . 1. Defrost turkey. Remove giblets and neck and rinse thoroughly under water. Pat completely dry with paper towel.

2. Separate the top skin (as shown in video) from the bird using your fingers or a silicone spatula. Making sure that you do not break the skin. Fold the wings into itself to prevent burning. 3. Insert under the skin, butter and BACON strips. This helps slow release fat from the bacon into the bird. Making it extremely moist and flavorful. 4. Place turkey on roasting pan. Heavily coat the outside of the skin with room temperature butter, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Stuff turkey (optional). 5. Loosely tent the roasting pan with aluminium foil. Place Turkey in a preheated oven at 325 degrees. Stuffed - 20 minutes per lbs. Unstuffed - 15 minutes per lbs. The last hour, remove aluminum foil and let brown. 6. Once internal temperature reaches 165 in the thigh, remove, cover, and let rest for 40 minutes to an hour. This helps retain its own moisture again. . Bon Appetite.
