Step by step I teach you how to make brioche buns that are full of flavor and super fun. This brioche bread will impress all your guests or family. One night we had veal sandwiches, another day I had some girlfriends over and made a charcuterie board. This pull apart brioche bread is beautiful to look at and tasty topped with various cheeses and dips. Clubhouse Everything Bagel All Purpose seasoning was the person seasoning to top this bread. Gave it a perfect salty seasoning. This is my new favorite seasoning as it is so versatile.
Serves: 5 Buns
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Cook Time: 25-30 Minutes Rising Time: 1 Hour 30 Minutes
Total Time: 2 Hours
Ingredients: Milk (1 cup, warmed)
Flour (4 1/2 cups) Sugar (1/4 cup, 1 Tbsp, divided) Dry Active Yeast (2 tsp)
Salt (2 tsp) Eggs (4 large) Butter (1/4 cup unsalted)
Directions: In a small bowl, add the milk, and warm it. 45 seconds in the microwave and stirred is what I did or you can warm it on the stove. Then add the yeast, and 1 Tbsp sugar. Stir and then let sit for 5 minutes. You will see the mixture become frothy, this means it is ready. In the meantime, using a stand mixer, add your flour, 1/4 cup sugar, and salt. Mix with a spatula until thoroughly mixed. Pour the frothy yeast mixture and eggs in with the flour mixture. Using your hook attachment, beat on slow for a few minutes then beat on fast. Once you no longer see loose flour, add your butter. Continue to beat on dough for 5 minutes. Put the dough into a oiled bowl as it will be very sticky. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and then towel. Let rise for an hour.
Form dough into a log and cut into 5 equal sections. Roll into a ball and let rise again for another 30 minutes with a towel covering them. After the 30 minutes, preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Lightly dust your working surface with some flour. Divide each ball into three sections and roll into a 1/4' pencil. Check out the video below how to braid your brioche dough.
Place your Brioche braid buns on a baking sheet and back for 25-30 minutes or until a perfect golden brown.
