Ever since my husband and I started dating, it was known that Monday evenings, Thursday evenings, and ALL of Sunday was dedicated to NFL Football. After a little bit of time adjusting, and finding my seat on the couch, we are a proud family full of Falcon Fans!! I found myself doing Sunday appetizer nights and took fun in that. This Superbowl Sunday, I decided to blog the appetizers I made for the big day. On the menu:
SPICY BUFFALO CHICKEN CHEESE DIP
Prep Time: 5 Minutes Cook Time: 20 Minutes Total Time: 25 Minutes Servings 4 Bake: 425 degree The Goods:
- Buffalo Sauce 1/4 cup (I like Franks Red Hot and you can add more or less on how spicy you want it) - Cream Cheese 1 container - Marble Cheese 1/4 cup, shredded - Sour Cream 1/2 cup - Chicken Shredded (I used 1/3 roasted chicken) - Italian Seasoning 1/2 Tbsp - Garlic 3 cloves, fined chopped Directions: Combine all ingredients in a bowl (I honestly used use this dish pictured) and sprinkle the marble cheese on the top. Bake at 425 for 20 minutes. SO easy, and so full of flavor. Bon Appetite DRY BBQ PORK BACK RIBS
Prep Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 4 hours on low 7 hours on High Total Time: 4-7 hours Serves: 4 The Goods: - Cajun Seasoning 1 Tbps or heavy sprinkle - Salt and Pepper - Italian Seasoning 1 Tbps or heavy sprinkle - BBQ Sauce 1/2 cup - Water 1/2 cup Directions: Grab your crock pot, fill it with the water. Rub all seasoning onto all sides of the ribs. Then take 1/2 of the BBQ sauce of choice (1/4 cup) and rub it on all sides of the ribs. Do not lay ribs flat in the crock pot. Lay the ribs on its side (up horizontally). Cook on low for 7 hours, or on high for 4 hours. If you like crispy ribs like our family does. I coat the ribs with the rest of the BBQ sauce on them and bake them for an extra 5-10 minutes. Mouth watering. Bon Appetite. HAM AND CHEESE PIN WHEELS
TOTAL PREP & COOK TIME: 15 minutes Serves: 6 (NO BAKE or COOK) The Goods: - Large Wrap 4 round - Cream Cheese 1 container softened - Mustard 1 Tbps - Dill Pickles 2 big chopped finely - Italian Season 1/4 Tbps - Honey Ham 12 slices Directions: Combine cream cheese, mustard, chopped pickles, Italian seasoning into a bowl. Lay out 4 large round wraps. Evenly distribute the mixture onto each wrap. It is important to identify what is the top of the wrap and make sure the mixture if spread right to the edge so it sticks when rolled. Lay 3 slices of ham on each wrap. Wrap each up. I suggest refrigerating these rolled for at least a half hour. Take out, cut into 1/2 inch pieces. Bon Appetite. BAKED DRY RUBBED CAJUN CHICKEN WINGS
Prep Time: 5 Minutes Cook Time: 20 Minute Total Time: 25 Mins Bake: 415F for 20 Minutes The Goods: - Chicken Wings 2lbs - Cajun Seasoning 2 Tbps - Salt and Pepper to taste - Parmesean Cheese 1/4 cup - Italian Seasoning 1/2 tbsp - Bread Crumbs 1/4 cup
Directions: Combine all ingredients into a bowl. Toss and coat all the wings fully. Placed on a grease baking sheet. Cook at 415F degrees for 10 minutes. Turn, and cook for the remaining 10 minutes. Bon Appetite. These are samples in our household that we make often. We usually have Chili, but this week we happened to have a ton of tomato based meals - we didn't feel like it.
