How To Make Pulled Ham

WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR PULLED HAM

Pellet Grill (I used my Pit Boss Grills Titan)

Pellets (I used Pit Boss Grills Cherry Pellets)

Aluminum Pan

Aluminum Foil

INGREDIENTS

Ham (Any type, I used a picnic pork shoulder ham)

Yellow Mustard (2 Tbsp) Pork Rub (Competition BBQ Rub by Pit Boss Grills)

Maple Mustard Sauce Ingredients

Maple Syrup (1/2 cup) Yellow Mustard (1/4 cup)

Dijon Mustard (1/4 cup) Garlic (1 clove, minced) Oregano (1 1/2 Tbsp)

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat your Pit Boss Grills to 300 degrees. Prepare you ham by cross scoring your ham with a knife. Now, coating it in a mustard binder. I used approximately 1 Tbsp to side of the ham. Next, coat your ham in your favorite pork rub. I used Competition BBQ rub by Pit Boss Grills. Place your ham directly onto your grill grates and smoke until an internal temperature of 165 degrees.

While your ham is smoking, make your maple mustard sauce. In a medium sized bowl, add your maple syrup, mustards, garlic, and oregano. Mix thoroughly and set aside to pour over your ham. Grab your aluminum pan and foil.

Once your ham has smoked to 165 degrees and you've obtained a beautiful crust. Place it into the pan, pour your maple mustard sauce, and cover with foil. Place back onto your grill to cook until an internal temperature of 200 degrees. Once it does, place into a towel and rest for 1-2 hours. Once rested, it will be tender enough to pull and enjoy!

SERVING IDEAS

  • Pile it high on toasted brioche buns with coleslaw for the ultimate pulled ham sandwich.

  • Layer it on mac and cheese for a smoky-sweet upgrade.

  • Serve it with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes for a hearty dinner.

  • Or just grab a fork and go straight from the pan (no judgment here).
