I cannot believe this is not bacon. This beef bacon recipe really tops them all. Candied beef bacon is the way to my heart and I won't stop making it. This super easy recipe is a fantastic snack for the family or the big game. Let me show you just how easy it is to do candied beef bacon.

BEEF BACON vs. PORK BACON? It is a great alternative to pork bacon. With a similar taste, texture and color it is almost like your eating the pork version. I personally think I like it even better. It is not as greasy as traditional bacon and fun to jazz up, like candied beef bacon.

THINGS YOU'LL NEED

SMOKER

PELLETS

WIRED RACK / BAKING SHEET

INGREDIENTS

Beef Bacon (1 pack) Maple Syrup (2 Tbsp)

Brown Sugar (1/4 cup)

DIRECTIONS Preheat your smoker to 300 degrees. Next, prepare your candied beef bacon by laying each piece out on your wired rack / baking sheet. Brush each piece with Maple Syrup on both sides. Next, sprinkle brown sugar evenly on both sides as well. Place directly onto your grill grates and let them smoke for approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Let cool off. Once cooled they are crispy, sweet, and salty. And that was a simple beef bacon recipe.
