Shrimp and Scallops in a Prosecco Garlic Sauce | Prosecco Sauce Recipe | Cooking With Prosecco

Champagne makes everything better. This cast iron SHRIMP & SCALLOPS in a PROSECCO GARLIC SAUCE was life. . I love cooking with prosecco. It has that perfect balance of sweetness and tartiness that lifts any sauce up. A little bubbly for the sauce and a little for me while grilling makes for a perfect evening with my @LouisianaGrills kamado K24.




Prosecco (1 cup)

Shrimp (1 lb)

Scallops (1/2 lb)

Butter (1/2 cup)

Garlic (4 cloves, minced)

Onions (small cooking, finely diced)

Parmesan Cheese (1/4 cup)

Cream (Heavy (1/2 cup)

Cream Cheese (1/2 cup)

Sour Cream (1/4 cup)

Parsley (fresh, 1/2 cup)

Italian Seasoning (1 Tbsp)

Red Pepper Flakes (a pinch)

Salt & Pepper (To Taste)


Preheat your kamado grill or oven to 400 degrees. You will not need your heat deflector for this cook. Place your cast iron directly on your grill grates. Add your butter and onions and stir for a couple of minutes. Then add your scallops, garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Cook until fragrant or a couple of minutes. We now add the shrimp and prosecco. Once bubbling, add the remainder of the ingredients - cream cheese, sour cream, cream, parmesan cheese and salt and pepper. Let reduce to a thicker sauce for 5-10 minutes. Serve with pasta, rice, or even on its own.
