THE GOODS

Bread (white or whole wheat, 2 per taco melt)

Butter (1/2 Tbsp per slice of bread)

Ground Beef (Lean, 1 lbs) Taco Seasoning

Onion (Cooking, Sliced)

Olive Oil (2 Tbsp)

Cheese (1/4 cup per taco melt)

DIRECTIONS

Start by turning on your griddle burners (at least 2 for this cook) medium-high heat. Once the burners are heated, add your olive oil and onions to one area. On another area add your ground beef. Using your griddle spatula, toss both your onions and ground beef. Once your ground beef is almost cooked through and brown, add your taco seasoning.

Its time to build your taco melts. Butter one side of each piece of bread. Do this ahead of time as you want all the ingredients ready to go while you build this taco melt recipe. Place them directly on the griddle, butter side down. Immediately start layering your ingredients for the taco melt. Start with your cheese, then onions, then taco ground beef and top with the second piece of bread.

You should be approximately 4 minutes on each side if on medium high heat. Enjoy immediately.
