Smoked Pumpkin Pie | Pumpkin Pie Recipe

I'm here to convince you that you can do anything on your grill that you can in your oven. Follow me as we make this pumpkin pie recipe together.

Pumpkin and Pumpkin Pie is a sign of harvest. It is usually consumed in the fall where all the fruits and vegetables are harvested. It tradition in our home to have one at our Thanksgiving table. This recipe has actually been in my family for generations. Shhhhh, don't let them know I've changed the recipe to be smoked on my pellet grill. After all, smoked pumpkin pie is the best pumpkin pie recipe.

SMOKED PUMPKIN PIE
 
INGREDIENTS
 
Eggs (2 large)
 
Pumpkin Puree (1/2 can)
 
Brown Sugar (1 cup)
 
Cinnamon (1 tsp)

Nutmeg (1/2 tsp)

Ground Ginger (1/4 tsp)
 
Salt (1/4 tsp)
 
Evaporated Milk (3/4 cup)

Pie Shell (9" deep dish, unbaked)
 

DIRECTIONS

Preheat your @PitBossGrills Navigator to 400 degrees. In a medium-sized bowl, beat the eggs well. Next, add all other ingredients into the bowl and mix thoroughly. Pour the mixture into your unbaked pie shell. Fire roast your pumpkin pie by adding that extra layer of smoke. Place directly on your grill grates and smoke for 15 minutes. Then reduce your grill to 350 degrees and continue cooking for an additional 30 minutes. Use a toothpick to check if the centre is done. Let cool completely before slicing into it. The amount of whipped cream is completely up to you :P
