There is nothing I love better than the holidays and creating fun fall food around them. Thanksgiving food ideas do not have to be complicated. Pumpskin shaped carrots are both easy and delicious and I'll show you exactly how to do them.
Thanksgiving food ideas immediately come to mind whenever fall hits. We transfer from the warm to the cold weather, making us crave comfort food. These pumpkin shaped carrots just require a sharp knife and some minimal ingredients.
These pumpskin shaped carrots are done on my BBQ. BBQ food is always my preferred way of cooking after all. They are smoked on my Louisiana Grills Founders Premier hot and fast. It is then drizzled in honey making them slightly sweet. Your children will devour them.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
KAMADO or PELLET GRILL (I used my Louisiana Grills Founders Premier)
PELLETS (I used, Pit Boss Grills, Apple Pellets)
HONEY (I used, Peace River Honey)
Garlic Powder (1/2 tsp)
Italian Seasoning (1 tsp)
Salt & Pepper (to taste)
Honey (1 Tbsp)
Olive Oil (1 Tbsp)
Preheat your pellet grill to 400 degrees. Prepare your carrots by cutting the - V - shape lengthwise down your carrot. Do this twice, removing the excess, creating a pumpkin-like shape down the whole carrot. Then slice in 1/4" slices and when you lay them flat you have - pumpkin shaped carrots.
Place your pumpkin shaped carrots on a cast iron or grill-safe dish. Toss your carrots in olive oil and seasonings. Save your honey until the end - you do not want it to burn. Place on your grill for approximately 30 minutes or until your carrots are the tenderness of your liking.
Serve with your favourite Thanksgiving or Fall Mains.
