WHAT YOU'LL NEED
PELLET GRILL (I used my Louisiana Grills Founders Premier)
REUSABLE ALUMINIUM CASSEROLE DISH
PELLETS (I used Cherry Pellets from Louisiana Grills)
Lobster Claws (Set of 4-8)
Butter (1/2 cup)
Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
Italian Seasoning (1 tsp)
Casserole Dish OR disposable aluminum pan
DIRECTIONS (45 minutes - 1 hour)
For this Smoked Lobster Claw Recipe, we will be steaming the bbq lobster claws first and ending it with a nice smoke bath. Using your reusable aluminum container add your lobster.
Using a small microwavable dish add your butter, seasonings, and garlic. Microwave in 20-second intervals until the butter is melted. You can use a fork to stir in between if you like. Slowly pour over the bbq lobster claws and let marinate 1-2 hours before.
Preheat your pellet smoker to 300 degrees, 20 minutes before planning to throw the bbq lobster claws on. Cover the aluminum casserole dish with aluminum foil tightly. The goal here is to create a tight seal (so double up if you have to) to create steam. Place directly on your grill and cook covered for 30 minutes. Once your bbq lobster claws are fully cooked, uncover and give them a nice creamy smoke bath to really kick up the flavour of these smoked lobster claws for another 15-20 minutes. Enjoy immediately.
