Smoked Crab Legs | BBQ Crab Legs | Crab Leg Recipe

BBQ Crab Legs are next level. These beautiful smoked crab legs are marinated and smoked in a garlic butter mixture for the perfect - pull - and - sweet bite. This crab leg recipe is not complicated or fancy, but your dinner-time guests will surely be impressed.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

PELLET GRILL (I used my Louisiana Grills Black Label 1200)

REUSABLE ALUMINIUM CASSEROLE DISH

ALUMINIUM FOIL

PELLETS (I used Pitmasters Choice Premium Pellets, Fruit Blend)

("SCALEANDTAILOR10" for 10% off Pellets)

THE GOODS

Crab Legs (Set of 2-4)

Butter (1/2 cup) Garlic (3 cloves, minced) Italian Seasoning (1 tsp)

DIRECTIONS (45 minutes - 1 hour)

For this Smoked Crab Leg Recipe, we will be steaming the crab legs first and ending it with a nice smoke bath. Using your reusable aluminum container add your crab legs.

Using a small microwavable dish add your butter, seasonings, and garlic. Microwave in 20-second intervals until the butter is melted. You can use a fork to stir in between if you like. Slowly pour over the crab legs and let marinate 1-2 hours before.

Preheat your pellet smoker to 300 degrees, 20 minutes before planning to throw the bbq crab legs on. Cover the aluminum casserole dish with aluminum foil tightly. The goal here is to create a tight seal (so double up if you have to) to create steam. Place directly on your grill and cook covered for 30 minutes. Once your crab legs are fully cooked, uncover and give them a nice creamy smoke bath to really kick up the flavour of these smoked crab legs for another 15-20 minutes. Enjoy immediately.
