Taking the same Christmas tree Pillsbury Biscuit Recipe twist, and applying it to Superbowl Food Ideas was the concept behind this creation. Gameday food is always a serious topic in our house every Sunday, so I'm constantly thinking of ways I can impress my amazing hubby.

THE GOODS

Chicken (3/4 cup cooked, roughly chopped)

Cream Cheese (1 cup, softened, room temperature)

Red Pepper (1/4 cup, finely diced) Jalapeno Pepper (2 Tbsp, finely diced)

Garlic (1 cloved, minced) Cajun Seasoning (1 1/2 Tbsp)

Pillsbury Biscuit (1 premade tube)

THE COOK

For this cook, I smoked the Chicken, but you can use leftover, store-bought, breast or thighs. I always start by looking for Canadian raised and farmed chicken at my local grocery store (for more information visit, Chicken.ca). Using my Louisiana Grills Black Label, I smoked this chicken at 325 degrees for approximately 45 minutes or until an internal temperature of 165 degrees.

For this gameday food, in a medium bowl, add all ingredients and mix thoroughly. You want this touchdown chicken tex mex to spread easily. If stiff, heat in the microwave for 30 seconds to soften. Lay all the Pillsbury Biscuit out on the counter or cutting board and flatten to 1/4" thick.

Using a pizza cutter, cut TWO football shapes (see video). Lay one out and spread the Touchdown Chicken Tex Mex Dip evenly. Encase the football shape with the second piece by laying and pinching the sides to one another. Using the pizza cutter yet again, cut 1" slices by dragging the blade towards the middle but leaving a consistent 1" gap/line in the middle.
