There is nothing better than a BBQ Chicken Burger. For this Chicken Burger Recipe, we choose to kick it up a notch with ingredients that will send your tastebuds flying. Ground Chicken Burger doesn't need to sound bland when your jam it will parmesan cheese, garlic, and en herb blend that is so delicious everyone needs to try it.

Let's simplify back-to-school by choosing easy yet delicious. For this month's recipe, I choose the classic - BBQ Chicken Burger. This chicken burger recipe is so easy to whip together, freeze for an easy weeknight, OR prep for the week.

TIPS ON HOW TO HAVE THE JUICIEST BBQ CHICKEN BURGER
Often what turns people off from a homemade bbq chicken burger rather than a frozen one is they CAN be dry or crumble. Over the years I've used a few none traditional hacks to ensure a mouth-watering MOIST burger. .
Tip One: Put your patty in the fridge for 30 minutes to harden before cooking.
Tip Two: Don't use breadcrumbs. Instead panade some bread ie: soak the bread and milk (or milk substitute) for a few minutes. Once completed absorbed add to meat mixture.
Tip Three: No big chunks. If adding onion or cheese make sure it's diced finely. This helps the burger not crumble while cooking.
Tip Four: Push little pockets in the middle of each patty. This helps the burger to evenly cook. Tip Five: Have fun with it. Play around with seasonings and sauces (but make sure not to over sauce)
PREP TIME: 10 Minutes
COOK TIME: 15 Minutes
Total Time: Approx 25 Mintues
GRILL TEMP: 400 Degrees INTERNAL TEMP: 165 Degrees
Ground Chicken (1 lb)
Parmesan Cheese (1/4 cup)
Garlic (2 Cloves, minced)
Italian Seasoning (1/2 Tbsp)
Parsley (1 tsp, dried)
Cajun Seasoning (1 tsp)
Mustard (1 Tbsp) Salt & Pepper (to taste)
Bread (of Choice, I used White Sliced)
Milk (1/4 cup)
First, prepare your ground chicken burger mixture. For this chicken burger recipe, using a medium-sized bowl, combine all ingredients except the bread and milk. You are going to use a panade (Panade: a bread and milk mixture agent to help thicken your patty). Using a small shallow plate, add you slice of bread and pour your mix over it. Let it soak in for a minute before adding to your ground chicken burger mix. Make sure to mix thoroughly with your hands or a spoon.
Next, make your ground chicken burger. I use my hands to grab a ball, or you can evenly measure by using measuring cups. Form a tight ball with your hands and then form into a patty. Lay on a piece of parchment paper on a flat moveable surface so you can transfer it to the refrigerator afterwards. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Whether you are doing a BBQ chicken burger or grilling it on a pan on your stove. This chicken burger recipe is for everyone. I personally BBQ'ed mine, as it always tends to be my preferred method. Preheat your BBQ to 400 degrees. I used my Louisiana Grills Kamado K24 charcoal grill. I poured my charcoal to one side of the basket as I cook these burgers indirectly on the other side.
Place your BBQ chicken burgers directly on your grill for 10 minutes and flip and cook the other side for another 5 minutes or until an internal temperate of 165 degrees. Have fun with your toppings and enjoy your delicious ground chicken burger.
